LOCATION: 100 miles from Iquitos, down the Amazon River, on the Rio Napo - half an hour walk from The ACEER Lab

ROOMS: Two open-air native-style buildings offer the accommodations, allowing you to feel part of the rainforest. Mosquito netted camping style accommodations, guest sleep on comfortable mattresses spread out on a communal open-sided sleeping platform. Comfortable shower and bathroom facilities are identical to those found at the Lodge.

FACILITIES: Dining room and canopy walkway - 120 feet above the surface walkway allows the rare experience of life at that height, and beautiful views.

ACTIVITIES: Several adventure tours and excursions available. The highlights are guided trail hikes in remote primary forest, bird watching and a visit to the canopy walkway at the nearby ACEER Lab. Overnight hikes into the rainforest staying in simple shelters can be arranged.

COMMENTS: The most rustic and most fun, but do not spend your honeymoon here!!!
It is not for everyone; it is not cheap; it is rustic and it may terrify you if you are afraid of heights. Note: because of the distance involved, you spend the first night at the Explorama Lodge.
