TYPE: Jungle Lodge

LOCATION: Located on a small tributary of the Amazon River near the junction with Rio Napo 50 miles by boat from Iquitos.

ROOMS: 72 large palm-thatched buildings with individual rooms and separate bathroom and shower facilities connected by covered walkways.
Lighting is by kerosene lanterns.

FACILITIES: Dining room.

ACTIVITIES: Night excursions to observe nocturnal wildlife; several other daily tours on canoes and on foot available; freshwater pink dolphins, the guides take you on trails that go further into the forest than do those at the Inn.

COMMENTS: A primary rainforest experience. This was the first lodge built and it is more rustic than the others.
