LOCATION: At 6800 feet above sea level (over 2,060 meters), the Preserve lies inside the primary rainforests of Volcan Baru National park,

ROOMS: Los Quetzales offers two basic options:

1) 10 rooms and one-suite hotel complex, recently built along a river in the picturesque agricultural town of Guadalupe. Spacious rooms that feature all the mandatory conveniences, such as private bath, hot water, room service, etc.

2) three chalets, located up the mountain on a 770-acre Preserve inside La Amistad and Volcán Barú National Parks. Built in the midst of the Preserve's primary rainforest, there are two-story wooden chalets ringed by pristine mountain rivers and springs. Each of these spacious chalets offers total privacy, serenity, and relaxation. Additional features include: fireplaces; private kitchens; hot water heaters; queen beds; skylights; and observation balconies. It takes about 17 minutes using a 4-wheel drive vehicle (provided), 30 minutes on foot, or 15 minutes on horseback, to get to the Preserve from the hotel in Guadalupe.

FACILITIES: Spa located inside the grounds of the Los Quetzales Hotel, next to a river and surrounded by trees. Next to the river, at ground level, there is also a gym, full of exercise equipment and a wood-fired sauna. Restaurant, bar and conference rooms. The hotel offers tours such as White Water Rafting, Cloud Forest Hiking, Bird Watching, Mountain Biking, and Volcano Expeditions. Bakery and pizzeria.
