LOCATION: Northeast corner of the central plaza.

ROOMS: Large, wall to wall carpet, a fairly modern decor and equipped with cable TV. Nicest rooms are in the older building, and if you do not mind a little noise, the ones on the street have little balconies that offer some pleasant views of the central plaza.

FACILITIES: Restaurant, bar, cafe, cocktail lounge, boutique, meetings for up to 400 people, room service, indoor pool, Jacuzzi, laundry facilities, fax service.

COMMENTS: This is the most upscale hotel in Quetzaltenango. A small cafe serving sandwiches and Mexican fare and a sizable restaurant are in the covered courtyard, which is also the lobby.
