TYPE: Punta Leona: modern two- story villas surrounded by lush tropical forest.
Leona Mar Condos: Modern furnished apartments some with ocean views

LOCATION: Punta Leona a 90 minute drive from San Jose between Carara Biological Reserve and Jaco Beach. It is a private 750 acre resort.

ROOMS:
Punta Leona: 108 standard rooms, all with double/queen size beds, color cable TV, air conditioned, private bathroom, and a small refrigerator.
Garden and forest view. 5-10 m walk or 2 minute internal bus shuttle from the beach and the resort center .

Leona Mar Condos: 24 deluxe condos, all suites are located above Playa Blanca with a spectacular ocean view and access to their own private pool. Located 20 minute walk from the center of the resort complex or 5 minutes bus ride.
All suites feature: queen-size bed in living room, hot water, A/C, private terrace with ocean view, dinning room, living room with TV with cable, complete kitchen. There are 3 different suites:
Junior Suites: 1 bedroom w/ king bed or 2 twins & 1 bathroom.
Deluxe Suite: 1 bedroom w/ king bed or 2 twins & 2 bathrooms.
Senior Suite has 2 bedrooms w/king bed or 2 twins in each & 2 bathrooms.

FACILITIES: Nature trails, 2 swimming pools,
5 restaurants, conference rooms for 200 people, mini-supermarket, in-house shuttle transportation, and baby-sitting upon request.

ACTIVITIES: Birdwatching, horseback riding, sportfishing, diving, kids club & daily activity programs, tennis courts.

COMMENTS: Good option if you only count with 3 days. It is of moderate type with a local flavor. Lots of locals come here.

FISHING PACKAGES: Doubles stay at Punta Leona Hotel. Triples and quads stay at Leona Mar.
