AMAZON LODGE
Lodge (Moderate) - 12 rooms

TYPE: Palm-thatched rustic floating lodge.

LOCATION: The Amazon Lodge is located 4 hours away ( 50 miles ) from Manaus, Southbank of the Amazon River,on the Parana do Mamori River system, upstream Rio Juma.

ROOMS: 12 standard, with 2 single beds mosquito screens and fans.

FACILITIES: Restaurant, bar, sharing bathrooms ( 6 showers), veranda with hammocks, and large sun deck. A generator with 110V energy is available for a few hours at night only.

COMMENTS: Because of the waters high acidity (pH 3.9), mosquitoes and viruses, which cause cholera, dengue, malaria and yellow fever, do not proliferate in the area.
