LOCATION: Turneffe Islands (40 km - 25 miles east of Belize City) This chain of tiny islands and mangrove swamps makes up an atoll the size of Barbados. It's the largest of the three atolls and the most centrally placed. Not surprisingly, the main draw here is diving.

ROOMS:
The Cabanas - Private, face the sea, each with private porches with chairs, hammocks, an interior seating area, double or queen beds, a private bathroom with shower, hot water and daily maid service.
The Triplex - features a huge front porch facing the sea, each of the private rooms has a bathroom, double beds, air-conditioning and maid service.
The Bungalow - has 2 bedrooms with double beds, a large living room, air-conditioning and private bathroom.

FACILITIES: Restaurant, bar, room service, laundry service, dive shop.

ACTIVITIES: Windsurfing, fishing, diving, snorkeling, sea kayaking and nature trails.

COMMENTS: Blackbird Caye was originally a base camp for scientists researching the reef and its wildlife, particularly dolphins. The heart of the resort is the dining and lounge area, which is housed in a magnificent circular structure of thatch and poles, supported by stout mahogany column.
