Located
on the Northwestern shoreline of Costa Rica, Tamarindo is a charming
fishing town of 1,000 inhabitants. The picturesque region opens
a doorway to the romance and serenity of flat lands, green mountains
and rich foliage. Because of the unique climate, the region boasts
a tremendous diversity of terrain from dense rain forests to airy
deciduous forests, towering active volcanoes to lush sugarcane fields,
and thick lagoons to unburdened beaches. The natural wonders of
this region are so astonishing that, for a moment, you forget the
world you have left behind once you crossed the threshold into nature's
playground.
Nestled
in this haven amidst vibrant bougainvillea and graceful palms, Cala
Luna is a short distance from the brilliant white-sand beaches or
mere minutes from the vibrant foliage of the jungles. With a domestic
airport fifteen minutes from the hotel and an international airport
one hour away (LIR), Tamarindo is easily accessible although still
relatively unscathed by modernization.
Surrounded
by ancient tropical forests and marine parks, Cala Luna is a peaceful
setting to soothe the spirit. Consistent with traditional Central
American style architecture, Cala Luna was constructed with tropical
farm-grown woods. The villas blend marvelously with the abundant
silver palms, delicate hibiscus, colorful bougainvillea and other
exotic foliage. The resort features twenty-one luxury Villas (pictured
above), each with a private swimming pool, as well as 16 Deluxe
hotel rooms.
