Description: Day 1: Panama City. Upon arrival in Panama City, transfer at the hotel of your choice for overnight. Day 2: Panama City. Morning pick-up for full day tour to Taboga Island. Travel by boat to the enchanting island of Taboga, commonly known as the Island of Flowers. On the way you will pass under the towering Bridge of the Americas, famous for unifying North and South America. Once on the island, enjoy Taboga's beaches and its quaint fishing village, once the departing point for the conquest of South America. Tour includes round-trip transfers between your hotel and the docks, round-trip Panama City-Taboga Island, lunch in Taboga, and use of the facilities at the Taboga hotel. Return to the hotel of your choice for overnight. Day 3: Panama City - Gamboa. After breakfast, morning transfer to the Gamboa Rainforest Resort, located 45 minutes from Panama City next to the Panama Canal. Spend your first day exploring the grounds of this beautiful resort and its surroundings. Overnight at the hotel of your choice. (L,D) Day 4: Gamboa. Full day to join in the many excursions to a variety of destinations (tours can be arranged at an additional cost while at the resort). Gamboa is located minutes from the Panama Canal with tours to the canal, fishing on Gatun Lake, eco-treks through the rainforest, an aerial tram to the forest canopy, world-class bird watching, kayaking, and mountain bikes. Overnight at the hotel of your choice. (B,L,D) Day 5: Gamboa. Day at leisure to participate in the many excursions offered by the Gamboa Rainforest Resort. Overnight. (B,L,D) Day 6: Gamboa - Panama City. Early morning transfer to Panama City and at the hotel of your choice. After check-in, enjoy your half day city tour. Your tour starts in the ruins of Old Panama with a visit to the on-site museum, and a later inspection of the ruins themselves. From here we will proceed to the colonial areas of Panama City, visiting the Church of San José (famous for its Golden Altar), the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, the French Plaza, and the famous 20th century dungeons called Las Bovedas. We will also visit the locks of Miraflores, where we will have the chance to learn about the history and operation of the famous canal. Overnight.(B) Day 7: Panama City - Home.
