DAY 1: Monday: Guatemala City. Upon arrival in Guatemala City, you will be transferred to the Conquistador Ramada hotel for overnight accommodations.

DAY 2: Tuesday: Guatemala City - Antigua. In the morning, depart for Antigua for a sightseeing tour of this colonial city. Overnight is at the Radisson hotel in Antigua. (B)

DAY 3: Wednesday: Antigua - Lake Atitlan. Morning departure for Lake Atitlan, with a brief stop at the archaeological site of Iximche. Overnight is at the Atitlan hotel in Panajachel, on the shores of Lake Atitlan. (B)

DAY 4: Thursday: Lake Atitlan - Quetzalte-nango. In the morning, enjoy a visit to the picturesque village of Santiago de Atitlan. Afternoon transfer to Quetzaltenango for overnight accommodation at the Pension Bonifaz hotel. (B)

DAY 5: Friday: Quetzaltenango - Huehuete-nango. Visit the colorful open-air animal market of San Francisco El Alto, the church of San Andres Xecul and the beautiful valley of Almolonga. Overnight is in Huehuetenango at the Cuchamatanes hotel. (B)

DAY 6: Saturday: Huehuetenango - Chichicas-tenango. In the morning, visit the colorful open-air market of Todos Santos Cuchumatanes. In the afternoon continue to Chichicastenango for overnight accommodations at the Mayan Inn. (B)

DAY 7: Sunday: Chichicastenango - Guatemala City. In the morning enjoy the famous open-air market of Chichicastenango and the church of Santo Tomas. In the afternoon continue back to Guatemala City for overnight accommodations at the Conquistador Ramada hotel. (B)

DAY 8: Monday: Guatemala City - Out. At an appointed time, you will be transferred to the airport for your connecting flight home or continue to your archaeological tour.
