Ruta Maya and Islands

DAY 1, Tuesday: Belize City - Ambergris Caye. Connect with your flight to Ambergris Caye. Upon arrival in San Pedro, check-in is at the Sunbreeze Beach hotel. Overnight.

DAYS 2 and 3, Wednesday and Thursday: Ambergris Caye. Days are at leisure for you to enjoy the tranquility of Ambergris Caye. Overnight for both nights is at the Sunbreeze Beach hotel.

DAY 4, Friday: Ambergris Caye - Belize City - Mountain Pine. Guests prepare to depart Ambergris Caye early for flight to Belize City. Guests now depart for Mountain Pine. En-route they stop at the Jaguar Paw Resort for a tour of the caves, where you will tube through the caves. Overnight at the Windy Hill Cottages.

DAY 5, Saturday: Mountain Pine. Early morning rise for transportation to the Xunantunich Ruins and the Panti-Medicinal Trail. Overnight is at the Windy Hill Cottages.

DAY 6, Sunday: Mountain Pine. Morning tour to the Caracol Ruins. After lunch, relax and take a dip in the Natural Pools. Overnight is at the Windy Hill Cottages. (L)

DAY 7, Monday: Mountain Pine - Flores. Transfer from the Windy Hill Cottages to Flores for overnight accommodation

DAY 8, Tuesday: Tikal. Early morning departure to the famous Tikal ruins. Breakfast will be served along the way. Day to tour the ruins and surrounding area. Overnight in Flores. (B)

DAY 9, Wednesday: Tikal - Flores - Guatemala City. Morning visit to the Mayan Craft Market and Museum. Drop-off at the airport in Flores for flight to Guatemala City. Upon arrival in Guatemala City, transfer to the Conquistador Ramada hotel for overnight. (B)

DAY 10, Thursday: Guatemala City - Chichicastenango. In the morning, leave for Chichicastenango. Upon arrival, visit the colorful open-air market and the Church of Santo Tomas. The afternoon is at leisure for further shopping or to see the town on your own. Overnight is at the Mayan Inn. (B)

DAY 11, Friday: Chichicastenango - Lake Atitlan - Guatemala City. Leave for Lake Atitlan and and a brief stop at the lake side village of Panajachel on the highway that circles the lake. Continue to Antigua, where you will visit sites such as churches, convents, monasteries, and other colonial buildings. Late in the afternoon return to Guatemala City. Overnight accommodation is at the Conquistador Ramada hotel. (B)

DAY 12, Saturday: Guatemala City - Copan. Morning transfer to the airport in time for flight to Tablones, close to the ancient Mayan ruins at Copan. Continue to the Marina Copan Hotel for check-in. Guided tour of the main archaeological park with lunch included. After lunch, enjoy a visit to the Sculpture Museum. Overnight at the Marina Copan hotel. (B,L)

DAY 13, Sunday: Copan - San Pedro Sula. After breakfast, enjoy your guided tour to Las Sepulturas Mayan Residential area, time also for shopping. In the early afternoon, transfer to San pedro Sula and along the way visit El Puente Archaeological Park. Overnight in San Pedro Sula. (B)

DAY 14, Monday: San Pedro Sula - Home. After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
