Jeep Tour to the Tijuca Forest: Super fun Jeep
tour in the Floresta da Tijuca above Rio shows the contrast between
nature and the city. We will make a stop at Macaco's Waterfall for
a dip. Later on we will see the Chinese View, Emperor Table, Cascatinha
Taunay and Mayrink Chapel. We will also walk through a light trail.
During this tour, our guide will explain the importance of the Mata
Atlantica. $50
Half-day Petropolis Imperial Tour: (Tue., Thu.,
& Sat). A short trip to the mountains and through sub-tropical
vegetation will bring you to Petropolis, an historical city with
cobblestone streets and horse-drawn buggies reminiscent of those
used at the turn of the century. $24
Rio by Night with Dinner: After dinner at a typical
"churrascaria", you will proceed to one of the famous "samba" show
houses, where they display a sample of Carnival throughout the year.
Sit down and absorb the beautiful costumes, the rhythm of a typical
"samba" school, wonderful "mulatas" and the diverse richness of
Brazilian folklore. $61
Full-day Tropical Islands with Lunch: Start
your day with a ride along the Rio Santos coastal highway to Itacuruca,
a fishing village. Here you will transfer to a luxurious schooner
for a full-day tour around Rio's tropical islands. Lunch under palm
trees. $49
Samba/ Samba with Dinner: (November through
February) No other music is more Brazilian than Samba, and no other
Samba is more authentic than "Samba School." Visit
one of these "escolas da Samba" as they open theirdance floors for "rehearsals" (a combination of a party and pep rally)
in preparation for the coming Carnival. Begin with dinner at a typical
"churrascaria" for a non-stop feast of Brazilian meats, salads,
