DAY 1: Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival in Rio, meeting and assistance, and transfer to your hotel of choice. Balance of the day at leisure. Overnight is at the South America Copacabana hotel. (B)

DAY 2: Rio de Janeiro. In the morning, ride past the scenic Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, to the Corcovado railroad station. Ride the train through lush forest up to the statue of Christ the Redeemer, which stands 38 meters high and 710 meters above Rio. Free afternoon. Overnight. (B)

DAY 3: Rio de Janeiro. In the morning, take a panoramic tour of Rio's beaches. Then take the thrilling cable ride to the top of Sugar Loaf, 395 meters above the city, and experience the breathtaking view of Guanabara Bay. Afternoon is at leisure. Overnight. (B)

DAY 4: Rio de Janeiro - Iguassu Falls. At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguassu Falls (not included). Upon arrival in Iguassu, transfer to the Tropical Cararatas hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure. Overnight. (B)

DAY 5: Iguassu Falls. Following breakfast, enjoy a guided tour to the Argentine falls. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight.

DAY 6: Iguassu Falls - Rio de Janeiro - Salvador. At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro, then connecting on to Salvador da Bahia (not included). Upon arrival in Bahia a representative will transfer you from the airport to your hotel of choice. Balance of the day is at leisure. Overnight is at the Tropical Bahia hotel. (B)

DAY 7: Salvador. This morning, you will discover Bahia's history and culture. Start at the Farol da Barra with its famous lighthouse, and then make your way to the old historical section of town, the Pelourinho area, with the largest and best preserved complex of colonial architecture in the Americas. Then, stroll through the narrow bustling streets of the plaza lined with buildings in pastel shades of an age gone by. In the evening, enjoy a dinner and folkloric show at Solar do Unhao, an 18th century colonial complex with its own sugar refinery, church, manor house and slaves quarters. Overnight. (B)

DAY 8: Salvador. Today, drive through the oldest farmland in Brazil, past plantations, peaceful colonial towns, and busy country markets. Enjoy lunch at the monastery in the charming colonial town of Cachoeira. After lunch, take a walking tour of the town, visiting the many wood sculpture stores, the bustling market (open Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday), and the Sisterhood of the Boa Morte, a sorority that traces its origin to the time of slavery. Return to Salvador. Overnight. (B,L)

DAY 9: Salvador. At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for your flight home or continue to Manaus. (B)

DAY 1: Upon arrival in Manaus, transfer to the Tropical Manaus hotel for one night accommodation.

DAY 2: Mid-day departure from the hotel to the pier for your boat transfer to the Ariau Jungle Towers in the Amazon Forest. Upon arrival, reception and dinner with overnight. (B,D)

DAY 3: Breakfast, and jungle trek in the morning. Return to the Lodge for lunch with a Reconnaissance tour in the afternoon. Dinner and a night tour in search of alligators. Overnight. (B,L,D)

DAY 4: Early morning tour to see the sun rise over the jungle followed by breakfast. Return to Manaus with a transfer to the hotel or to the airport with a stop at the Opera House along the way (ticket not included). (B)
